15th February 2008. GPs accept Johnson's plan for extended hours.  GPs this week reluctantly accepted Alan Johnson's plans to extend out-of-hours GP services.   2nd February 2008. Endometriosis campaign latest. The Petitions Committee of the

  Scottish Parliament have decided to approach the Scottish government to ask what specific

  actions it will take in response to our call to increase funding into endometriosis research.

    9th January 2008. Alan Johnson announces campaign to limit use of

  antibiotics.  In a move welcomed by the Save our NHS Group, the Health

  Secretary has recommended reducing the unnecessary overuse of antibiotics.

4th January 2008. University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay Trust aims to press ahead with further ward closure.  Although the Trust were forced into an embarrassing u-turn when they attempted to axe ward 11 in October, it now claims improvements in ambulance provision means the closure can safely go ahead. The Save our NHS Group elderly spokesperson, Len Edgar, assesses this claim.
