Reinstate Karen Reissmann - latest news

The campaign continues to go from strength to strength and the national media have now started to show a real interest. The Guardian published an article a few weeks ago describing the injustice of Karen's situation.

The next campaign organising meeting will be at 6pm on Monday 7th April in the Mechanics Institute, Princess Street, Manchester.

A public meeting followed by a free "thankyou" social is being held at 7:30pm on Monday 14th April at the Midland Hotel, Peter St, Manchester. This is timed to coincide with the UNISON health conference so will be a major event.

Significantly, campaigners have been boosted by the news that the cuts in community mental health teams (which Karen spoke out against) are being reversed. All the displaced staff have now been offered permanent posts in their original teams. This is a tremendous vindication for the strikers as well as Karen.
